POM's thrift store isn't JUST a thrift store...it is one of our core services to the community. In just the 3rd quarter of 2019 over $3,500 in voucher assistance was provided for clients who to shop for what they needed in the store. Take "Marlene" for example. A single mother who was struggling to make ends meet,she needed appropriate clothing for a new job she had just landed and found several outfits that would help her new employer see how amazing she really is! Or, "John", a teen whose mother was doing all she could to help him look amazing for his first homecoming dance. He had a hand-me-down suit that was just perfect, but no shoes. They couldn't afford even used shoes, but with a voucher to the store they found just the right pair and John was off to the dance without a worry in the world! Store vouchers are issued by our case managers through our Samaritan Services, available Mon, Wed and Thur mornings beginning at 9:30. So, when you donate to More Pennies From Heaven thrift store, you may be helping a "Marlene" or a "John" achieve the success they are working so hard for! Thank you!!
