I was on my way home after completing the 2020 final results, and I cried a bit. I cried because I was in awe of our staff, clients, volunteers, and donors. Those numbers represent the numerous hours our case managers listened to stories or for the cold days outside handing out food at our drive through food bank. I cried for the reasons why people are struggling, this sickness, the lives it took and the livelihoods it has or is taking. I cried because I am grateful that our organization hasn’t had to suffer financially. That we were able to provide almost double the amount of financial assistance to our community and still have donations coming in, allowing us to continue to help in these unknown times.
Thank you to our community for blessing POM and blessing your neighbors in need.
Thank you for all those who trusted us and took the step to ask for help.
Thank you to our staff and volunteers, you are amazing and are truly super heroes in our community.
We are truly blessed to be able to see firsthand, God’s work in our community and it continues to leave me in awe!
