This is a shout out to the amazing landlords in our community! During every case management session our case workers call the landlord (or power company or pharmacy etc.) for verification of the need for which our client is requesting assistance. So many times in the last couple of months we've encountered generous-hearted landlords who really want to help their tenants stay in their homes during this crisis, even though they need to maintain their own income to pay their own bills. Our case managers and local landlords have come up with many creative ways to work out solutions until clients return to work or their unemployment comes through. It's just one more example of how this extraordinary community comes together to support one another.
