Sometimes Solutions Are Easy...

Sometimes the solutions are easy. "Mildred" tentatively walked through our door last week. She is a senior citizen, living quite nicely on a small social security income. However, she had experienced some additional medical bills in the last few months and, on her fixed income, had run out of money for insulin prescription. Without it, she will not survive. But she couldn't afford it this month. She met with our case workers who agreed to meet her at the pharmacy later that day to pay for her prescription. It was a simple decision. Mildred will likely not need our help again any time soon, but as she left with a little bit more pep in her step, she knew she had a place to come if she needs help again. Sometimes it's the simple things that bring the greatest joy.
