We are super excited to introduce to you, our new Executive Director! Meet Elisha Smith-Marshall! Elisha is an Enumclaw native, and has been at POM for about 4 years. She began as our Office Manager and took over managing the food bank and emergency assistance programs after our long time Program Manager retired two years ago. In January, Elisha was selected by the board of directors to lead us as our Executive Director. Elisha brings extensive experience in social work. She earned her BA from Trinity Lutheran College in Youth & Family Ministries with an emphasis in counseling. After college she worked as a Community Advocate for Eastside Domestic Violence Program (now LifeWire) where she conducted trainings for schools and churches on Domestic Violence. She moved from there to managing the Crisis Line, where she provided advocacy based counseling to survivors providing information on safety planning and resources. She ended her time there as the manager of the Women's Shelter, which served those who struggled with chemical dependency and domestic violence. When she married her husband, Keith Marshall (now pastor of Hope Lutheran in Enumclaw) they moved to Lakewood where Elisha worked as a contractor at Fort Lewis, first as the sexual assault response coordinator, then in the Army Reserve Family Programs, helping Family members of Army Reserve Soldiers readying for deployment. In 2012 Elisha and Keith moved back to Enumclaw, where they both grew up. POM was fortunate to find her in 2014 and we hope she will be with us for a very, very long time! Come on by between 9 and 3 and say "Hello!".
