Showers and Laundry

The shower and laundry facilities available at Plateau Outreach Ministries are to be used by and for the benefit of clients in our service area. It is not our intent that these privileges should become relied upon permanently. These services are available during times of need to help during transition.

You will be required to sign our shower-laundry agreement which is as follows:

I agree to meet the following requirements that will then allow me to use the shower and/or laundry at POM:

 ð        Meet with Case Manager prior to using services;

ð        Schedule specific time of use through front desk;

ð        If I fail to show up for a scheduled appointment, I must reschedule before use;

ð        If I fail to show up for more than three appointments, I will lose future privileges;

ð        I agree to work toward resolving the issues that keep me from access to shower and laundry, as outlined by the Case Manager;

ð        I will treat the facilities with care and respect, understanding this use is a privilege.

ð        You can schedule up to 2 loads of laundry a month and 2 showers a month (if more is needed you will need to go through Case Manager for approval).

 SHOWER USE:

·         30 Minute Limit – You will have 30 minutes total within the bathroom.

·         You will leave no clothing or personal items in the bathroom following your shower.

·         You will put any used towels, rags or mat in to be washed bin (if you used POM’s)

·         Cleaning – Following your shower, you will spray entire shower with provided cleaning solution and wipe down walls and shower floor. 

·         You will Swiffer clean the floor with provided cleaning supplies.

 LAUNDRY USE:

·         You will go through clothing pockets before you arrive to put your laundry in.

·         If you are camping you will shake pine needles and dirt outside before loading clothing.

·         We will provide laundry soap- no homemade laundry soap or soap that is not HE approved.

·         You will load washer, staff will put in soap and transfer to dryer.

·         At time of laundry drop off you will be given a time to pick up laundry.
